The why is self-evident. What to do about it is not so easy to answer, lucky for her.

Re: Freedom of Speech.
Katie Hopkins is free to speak and if she were not free to speak there would not be anyone offended by her. So freedom to speak is not dying out. Au contraire because of the laissez- faire control of the internet more people are enabled to spread their views more widely than ever before.

KH is a huge misanthrope and I don't agree with much of what she says and it strikes me as odd that this huge snob distains people many of whom support her views.

Should she be held to account for it? I think so

Why and in what way?

That's often the case. Strange.

There's a lot of irony that those who proclaim themselves to be the most liberal, right on and tolerant will happily resort to threats of and actual violence against anyone who doesn't share the same peace loving, all inclusive thoughts and ideals....

Well, Katie Hopkins is a ginormous cunt, so I won't be wringing my hands over her shit book launch being cancelled.

Well yes there would be uproar. Whereas in this case nobody broke into anywhere, there are no reports of violence, there weren't hoards of thugs with masks, so those getting their knickers in a twist don't need to worry.

To me the question isn't free speech at all but hate speech. Does Hopkins' bile count as hate speech? Should she be held to account for it? I think so.

Unlike America we don’t have freedom of speech protected by law. It’s something we really need to do, but I can’t see it happening here. Unfortunately incedents like this one are becoming way to frequent .

A small minority rule a large majority. When it turns, it’ll be ugly, and it feels like we’re not to far away..

We are always told the 'far right' (i.e. that now apparently means anything that is not lefty liberal) was the aggresive element.

Reality is that the libtards are straight to violence now if they aren't getting their way, be it actual or verbal.

It's called no platforming.

Giving airtime to ideas or views you might not agree with is seen as unacceptable.

Goes right back to notions of blasphemy and heresy.

Re: Freedom of Speech.
She doesn't seem to have much of a problem airing her views.

There's a freedom to protest too. Looking at pictures of the protest, it seems to me almost all of them have their faces showing, so 'masked cowards' seems inaccurate.

Something posted on Facebook bought a wry smile to my face .

Something like , "the fascists are a peaceful lot , it's always the left wing that attack them'

When ever the BM , NF FLA UKIP etc march they are peaceful , it's everyone else that's agressive .
